I made absolutely ZERO pattern changes, which never happens to me. My plan was that this would be my test run. It fit so well when I finished, though, I wore it straight out to the pool. If you follow me on instagram, you got a wee peek on Saturday.
I have never sewn a swimsuit in my life, and I expected this to be a real bear. Dare I even say the words, but it was EASY! Heather Lou's directions are fantastic and she also has a sewalong on her blog with even more information. I have every intention of stitching up the other two versions.
I had so much fun sewing this swimsuit that I felt positively gleeful when I put it on. As any woman knows, that's a rare statement, especially when it comes to swimsuits. I couldn't wait to wear it out and about and share it with you, of course! I love that sewing can make you feel exhilarated about what you put on your body.
I tip my hat to you, Heather Lou.
